Events

We have places in our school Nursery (either 15 or 30 hours depending on your eligibility) and Reception. If you have children in these year groups, and would like a place, please contact the office and a member of Early Years staff will be in touch.

End of Year Reports Sent Home – Friday, 11th July
On Friday, 11th of July, the children will receive paper copies of their end-of-year reports in an envelope. Please let your child’s teacher know if you didn’t receive one and we can get you a replacement.
 
 Take Over Day and Head Boy/Girl Elections – Monday, 14th July
Every year the children in Year 6 and the School Council get to take over the school for a day. They become the Headteacher, teachers, office staff and dinner ladies. This year, Take Over Day is on Monday, 14th July.
We are combining that day with the day when the children get to vote for their New Head Boy and Girl, with the results coming in the very next day.
 
School Trips Yr1 – Yr6
Year 1 go to Filey on Friday, 11th July
Year 2 are going to William’s Den on Wed/Thurs, 9th/10th July 
Year 3/4 are going to Temple Newsam Farm (date TBC)
Year 5 are going to Mission Out! (date TBC)
 
Year 6 End of Term itinerary
To mark the end of the children’s time at Hunslet Carr Primary School we have several activities to make the final weeks as memorable as possible.
 
Year 6 Trip to London – Friday, 4th July The Year 6 children will be heading to London for a fun-packed day.
Year 6 Production – Pirates of the Curry Bean on Tues/Wed, 15th/16th July We will have two shows: one on Tuesday at 6 p.m. and one the next morning at 9:30 a.m. Each family will be allowed two tickets for one show. If there are any spare tickets afterwards, we will inform you.
 Year 6 Prom on Thursday, 17th July – 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. We are excited about our annual prom, one last chance to make some memories before they begin their high school journey.
Year 6 Leavers’ assembly on Friday, 18th July – 9.15 – 10.00am A chance to hand out some awards and take you back down memory lane with some old photos of the kids’ time in school.
 
School Break Up
School will break up for summer on Friday, 18th July at 12.30 p.m. and the children will return to school on Wednesday, 3rd September.
